Mason Irish - Owner
Mason Irish started Saco River Brewing in 2016 after developing a passion for brewing beer at home. After starting a local homebrew club and furthering his education about brewing and beer, he decided to start a brewery in Fryeburg with a taproom. Eight years later, Saco River Brewing Co. still operates out of its original taproom, with some additional outdoor seating in and out of the barn. The Fryeburg brewery and brewhouse location distributes cans and kegs all across Maine and New Hampshire.
Zach Dugas - Head Brewer
Zach Dugas has been with Saco River Brewing Co. since the very beginning! He was quick to volunteer on the brewing side, which led from one day a week, to three days a week, to a full-time job. Since then, he has taken over the production side of things and is responsible for crafting the fine liquids we represent. Besides brewing beer, you will find Zach out running, mountain biking, and doing other fun stuff around the White Mountains with his friends, wife, and dog.
Jillian Powers - Sales & Distribution
Jillian Powers has been with Saco River Brewing Co. for over 3 years. She started working at the taproom and has since become the head of sales and distribution for the state of Maine. Her upbeat disposition, rich knowledge of beer, and strong work ethic have resulted in incredibly positive relationships with our retail and wholesale customers. When she isn't busy working at the brewhouse or out on the road in our van on delivery days, you can find her in the mountains hiking and enjoying the great outdoors.
Erik Rugar - Taphaus Manager
With a strong background in both independent and franchise-style restaurant management, our Taphaus General Manager, Erik, brings years of operational expertise and leadership to the Saco River Brewing team. On-site nearly every day, he’s committed to driving the Taphaus forward — overseeing daily operations, leading new initiatives, and ensuring every guest experience reflects the fun and welcoming spirit of the SRB brand.

The Saco River Brewing Taphaus opened its doors in February 2025.
We are excited to be a new local brewpub here in the North Conway Village.
Located right on Main Street in North Conway Village, the Saco River Taphaus brings the bold, no-nonsense spirit of our original Fryeburg, Maine brewery to the heart of the White Mountains.
You’ll find our fresh craft pints on tap, hand-tossed pizzas cooked in a classic stone oven, and a laid-back second-floor bar space that’s perfect for après-ski sessions, group hangs, or private events.
